Snow, Snow, and more Snow!

Ah, the beauty of Idaho Falls in the winter time. There is so much snow right now and it just keeps coming and coming! I'm not sure how much more I can take! I swear I'm losing my mind! We went to visit my family in Florida for Christmas and it was SO nice. It was nice not having to bundle Spencer up everytime we went outside. It was awesome to see the sunshine. It was great to wear shorts in December! Granted, people wear shorts here in the winter, but they're CRAZY! It has warmed up to about 25 degrees this week which has been nice, but since when is 25 degrees warm? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we only have another month and a half of this white stuff. Until then I guess bundle Spencer up we will...Pray for ME! : )

The Johnstons: An Update

So since it's been a while since a lot of us have seen or spoken to each other, I thought it would be good to update everyone on how the Johnston clan has been. Let's see, we'll start with Andrew or AC as we lovingly like to call him.

Andrew is a SENIOR! Can you believe it? I know I can't!! They grow up so fast! He plays golf and baseball for his high school and is of course excellent and both. He just found out that he'll be attending BYU Provo in August and he's really looking forward to that. I have to admit that I can't wait for him to move out west so that he can be closer to me!

Next is Elder Will. Will is serving in Roseville, California. He comes home the beginning of August of this year! We are so excited to see him! It was awesome talking to him at Christmas and we can't wait til Mother's Day when hopefully we can talk to him again. After his mission, he'll be in Florida for a couple of weeks but then move out to Provo again to finish up school. I think he's pre-med, but don't quote me on that. We love Will and we love to hear from him every week.

Next is Sarah. Sarah is doing great! She just got remarried in September of last year to a great guy, Adam Zern. They are perfect together! They are living in St. Cloud where Adam is busy finishing up school and starting his own videography bussiness. Sarah substitute teaches a couple times a week but mostly stays at home with Emma. I've posted a picture of Emma also. She is a hoot and will be turning 3 in May.

Here's Emma and Sarah. Aren't they cute?

And then there's my mom and dad. They are doing great! They live in St. Cloud, Florida and love living close to family. They say it's getting too built up and that they want to move out west to be closer to us, but that's kind of hard for me to believe. : ) I don't think they know just how cold it gets in Idaho. They are coming out to visit for my birthday in February so that will be the true test. Dad is currently serving as the bishop in their ward and Mom is a youth Sunday school teacher. Dad retired from Delta and now works for the county, I think. He works in the planning department, so if you have any questions about permits and what's being built around town, he's the one to ask. Mom stays home with the 6 dogs and makes sure AC stays out of trouble. She and Sarah run around together and Mom watches Emma while Sarah is subing. I really hope they move out here! It would be awesome to live close to them again!
So there's just a quick update on the Johnstons. All in all, they're doing wonderful!

Family Pictures

Here are our most recent family pictures!

Our First Blog!

Hello All! Well, this is the very first time I've ever blogged in my life, so you'll have to have some patience. : ) Our family is doing awesome! Spencer is growing bigger and bigger! He is one funny guy! It seems like when he can't get into anything else, he finds something naughty to do. Is it just little boys? He is ALL boy, too. He loves to make messes and wrestle with his dad until they are both laughing uncontrollably. We love Spencer and are so blessed to have him in our family. If you didn't already know, we're expecting baby #2. We're due August 11th. Robert's keeping his fingers crossed for another boy, but I think we were pretty lucky to get Spencer. Robert's the only boy in his family, followed by 3 sisters. I would love to have another boy so Spencer could have a brother close to his age, but a little girl would be fun too! Robert is busy busy busy. He's working full time and is trying to finish up school at BYUI. We are all looking forward to his graduation someday. He's the executive secretary in the ward and also teaches in elders quorum. I'm the primary president and one of the ward organists. Our Sundays are a little crazy, but who's isn't? We were very excited this month because Spencer started going to nursery. Boy does that help! We had our first successful nursery experience yesterday. He only cried for a few minutes before he started playing with the other kids. There's hope!
We still live in Idaho Falls and are loving it! I wish it was a little warmer but the summer will come soon enough along with a huge pregnant Rachel. Life is going great, though, and I can't wait to keep posting! Hope everyone is doing great!
