Our poor garden sort of got neglected this year. Our time was mostly spent building the shed and remodeling the house. But thanks to Roberts green thumb we got tons of potatoes and 5 pumpkins!! The kids thought carving 5 jack-o-lanterns was pretty awesome!

Park City

Park City is one of our family's favorite vacation spots! There's good food, fun places to stay and visit, and good shopping! Pair all that with good friends and you get one great getaway!! We were able to spend the weekend with some really great friends at their cabin in the mountains by Park city. It was amazing! We were seriously on the side of a mountain. The view was spectacular! We were able to do a little shopping, eat some yummy pizza, take a tour of Skull Candy, score some free headphones, and relax. I think my favorite part was staying up super late and laughing with some awesome people, including my little brother, Andrew. Overall, we had an awesome time!!

Spencer had his first day of Kindergarten a few weeks ago. I was, of course, totally cool about the whole thing....ok, maybe not totally. But I made it! I'm a mom. It's my right to get a little emotional. And I held it together when we dropped him of and that's all that matters. Needless to say, Spencer LOVES school! We are lucky to live close to a great school with great teachers. He's even able to ride the bus to school! I think that might be his favorite part. I asked him the first morning he was waiting for bus if he was nervous and he tells me, "Mom, I dreamed about riding the bus all night!" That's Spence for ya! I can't believe he's so grown up!!

Primary Program

Today was a very special day for our family! It was Spencer's first Primary program! He did such a great job. He walked up and sat in his chair like he'd done it a million times. When it was his turn, he walked right up to the microphone and said his part like a champ! He even knew most of the songs! Of course Robert and I made a point to sit right in the middle of the chapel so we could have a great view of our little man. It was such a great day as a parent. We are so proud of the little person Spencer (and Madelyn) are becoming!

Scripture Power!

Whenever we read scriptures, Robert and I let Spencer have a turn "reading." We tell him the words and he repeats them. He loves it and we love that he's learning new words from the scriptures!

Tonight, we were reading from the Book of Mormon, and Spencer's scripture had the word 'Gentile' in it. He stopped "reading" for a minute and said, "Mom, are Gentiles like snakes and lizards and turtles and stuff?"

HA HA! "No," I replied, "you're thinking of REPTILES."

That's Spencer for ya...always thinkin. We sure do love that adorable little boy!

Happy Easter!

Even though Robert is out of town, we still had a great Easter. The kids ate TONS of candy and loved the treats the Easter Bunny brought them. We were also able to watch General Conference where we were able to listen to wonderful talks given by living prophets. We are so blessed and we recognize the Lord's hand in our lives daily. I tried to explain the true meaning of Easter to Spencer, but you never know what actually sinks in. :) But atleast I tried!! We know that the Savior lives and that He died so that we can live again. I am so blessed! I have a wonderful family and a fantastic life! Tonight, Spencer said our family prayer and he said, "Please bless the Easter bunny that he'll get home safe." Hope everyone had as great an Easter as we did.

We go to Blast Off! Here in Idaho, where it snows A LOT, you have to find fun things to do inside. Lately, we've taken a few trips to Blast Off. It's a local indoor playground complete with tubes, slides, ball pits, arcade games, mini golf, and even laser tag. It's a great way to pass the time and the kids LOVE IT! But we can't wait til Spring!!!

Park City

A few months ago, we decided to take a family vacation to Park City. We had a blast! We found this great condo right across the street from the outlet mall...a girl's dream...The condo had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a beautiful kitchen. It had a really nice fireplace and great views. It was perfect for our family! When we got to Park City we headed into town and had some yummy sushi at the Flying Sumo. After dinner, we walked around town a little and found Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. YUM! We got one of their yummy chocolate covered apples rolled in candy. We shopped and ate and spent some much needed time together.

Elder Johnston

Ever heard the saying,"Better late than never"? Well, it definitely applies here. Andrew entered the MTC on Madelyn's birthday....AUGUST 5th! There's no excuse for my slacking. and sorry about the previous post. I'm totally going out of order, but I just realized I never posted any pictures of Elder Johnston! So, here they are!

Here is a picture of Will and Andrew (and half of my mom) the day before Ace entered the MTC. We came down to spend some time with AC before he left. Here, we're eating dinner at delicous Tucanos.

Holy Smokes?! Has it really been THAT long?! Well here goes a BUNCH of updates!

Halloween was super fun! My Mom, Dad, and brother Will SURPRISED us with a visit! IT WAS AWESOME! No one's ever surprised me like that before and I loved it! We had a great time with everyone. We always have fun when we're together. The kids dressed up of course.

Madelyn was Snow White by day and a monkey by night. The Monkey costume was a little warmer and more suited for Halloween night in Idaho. : ) Spencer was an alligator, of course! Thank you Melanie for the AWESOME alligator hat! It made the outfit!

We all went to Melaleuca to Trick-or-Treat. It was my first time going to the Idaho Falls home offices for Halloween. They did a GREAT job! If you've never been to Melaleuca for Halloween, let me just tell you they go ALL out! It was SO cool! My mom and dad were super impressed.

So I can't get the pictures to move around...but as you can probably tell from the first pictures in this post, I took the kids to the pumpkin patch. It was a TON of fun! We went with our friends the Sommers. The Pumpkin Patch had a hay maze and tons of pumpkins to choose from. We had a blast. Halloween was tons of fun as you can see! More updates to follow....

Silly Spencer

So Spencer has a daily chore: feed the dog. He's been doing a great job at keeping Jacque (our dog fed). Well the other day Spencer and I were in the laundry room (which is where we also keep the dog food) when I reminded him that it was time to feed the dog. So he does and then our conversation went something like this:

Me-"Spencer, did you feed Jacque?"

Spencer-"Yes. Don't worry Mom, I just ate a little bit of dog food."

Me-"WHAT? Spencer, we do NOT eat dog food."

Spencer-"It's ok, Mom. There was a little bit on my cheek so I just ate it."

Me-"No, Spencer, it's not ok. We are people. We don't eat dog food."

Spencer-"Mom....It's a possibility!"

So then on Saturday, Robert, Spencer, and Gerry (Rob's dad) all went to the store together where Robert told Gerry all about the dog food incident. When Robert got the part about possibilities Spencer replied...

"I'm little so I have lots of possibilities."

Where does he come up with this stuff?! What a silly little boy we have.

REG’s Free Family Film Festival is Now Showing! When school’s out, kids around the country visit selected Regal theatres for the Free Family Film Festival. It’s a fun-filled nine weeks of movies for kids and parents. Since 1991, Regal has provided this service to the community, and best of all it’s FREE!
Selected G & PG movies start at 10AM each Tuesday and Wednesday during the festival. First-come, first-served seating is limited to theatre capacity. The Free Family Film Festival is safe, lots of fun and a great way for kids to spend a weekday morning in the summer.

Lately...

Wow. I have been pretty bad at updating lately! Shame on me! We are all doing wonderfully here in good old Idaho. It's slowly getting warmer outside and everything has come back to life.

We had the chance to go to Florida last week. It was awesome seeing everyone! We pulled a fast one on my dad. He had no idea we were coming until we walked in the house at midnight! It was Great! Saturday, Andrew, my awesome little brother, went through the temple for the first time. It was so cool having our whole family in the temple together. It was the most amazing experience being able to sit the Celestial room with the people that I love the most in the whole world (except for Spencer and Madelyn, of course). And the knowing that we could be together forever is such a blessing. I am grateful for that knowledge and only hope that Robert and I can have all our kids in the temple someday.

Other than our trip to Florida, things have been pretty calm around the Sullivan home. Our house is still for sale so if you know anyone who is looking for a charming home in the Idaho FAlls area, please let me know! We're not in a hurry to sell so I'm just trying to be patient. Robert got a new job opportunity at Melaleuca! He now works a "normal" shift here, in Idaho Falls!!! I can't even begin to describe how fantastic it is to have him home in the evenings. WOW. He is totally loving his job, too! Robert's graduation is coming quickly and we're both SO excited. He'll be graduating July 23rd, Spencer's birthday! I want to have a big graduation/birthday bash!

Speaking of Spencer...he is such a big boy. Not physically so much, but he's just really started being a "little boy." He talks non-stop. Questions, questions, questions...it's all I hear all day. But how else are the supposed to learn? I just have to learn to be patient. : ) Easier said than done, I'm afraid. He loves nursery still and comes home from church and tells us all about it. I can't wait for him to be a sunbeam. I think he's going to do great! His favorite Primary songs are "I am a Child of God" and "I Love to See the Temple." He really is such a sweet little guy. I'm so happy I'm his mom!

Madelyn is one crazy gal! She is all over the place and HATES sitting still! You can only imagine how fun it was to fly them to Florida... : ) (Thanks again Dad for all your help!) She crawls like a pro and pulls herself up on everything. She's even starting to stand by herself! Our baby is growing up SO fast! Not fair! She's getting 2 more teeth. Her "dracula" teeth. Not the ones in between, so she's going to look like a vampire baby for a while. She's a sweet little girl. She's so smart and loving. We are lucky to call her ours!

Sorry! I forgot to take my camera to Florida so no new pictures. Robert got me a gift certificate to get our family pictures taken so hopefully I can get my act together and make an appointment soon! For now, here are some pictures old pictures that I don't think I ever blogged. Enjoy!

Last weekend, we were able to take a little family vacation down to Provo! We had tons of fun, other than the fact that Spencer puked all over the back seat of the van on the way down. If you know me AT ALL, you know that vomit is NOT one of my favorite things. Basically, it totally freaks me out. As a kid, whenever anyone would get sick in the house, I would spend the day outside in the hopes that I would not contract the dreaded barfing bug. Long story short, Spencer turned out to be just fine.

While we were in Provo, we of course spent time with two of our favorite people, Will, my brother, and Josh, one of Robert's best friends/brother. We had a blast! We took Spencer to Thanksgiving Point to check out the dinosaurs. Needless to say, he loved it!

We took our time coming home and were able to see Jesse and Larin which is always fun! We're so excited to meet baby Charlie! Jesse's been hard at work getting the baby's room ready and so far it looks great! We tried to treat them to lunch but they both had yucky colds. So we headed on back to the frozen north. It was fun to get away for the weekend and visit people that we love! We had an awesome weekend!

6 Month Check Up

It's true! Our baby girl is growing up! Madelyn Elizabeth is already 6 months old! She had her 6th month appointment on Monday. She weighs 16lbs. 3 oz. and is 26 3/4 inches long! I've been worried that she's a bit small but the doctor assured me that she is growing right on track. She is one amazing little gal.

Madelyn can:

*roll from back to tummy

*roll from tummy to back

*sit up on her own

*do the finger/thumb grasp

*loves to talk/yell

*sleeps about 12 hours through the night

*scoot backwards

*get up on her hands and knees and tonight, she started pushing herself FORWARD!

Some of Madelyn's favorite things:

*FOOD-carrots, peas, green beans, peaches, prunes, sweet potatoes, bananas, apple sauce, oatmeal cereal, those little baby puffs

Our Silly Little Boy

Spencer has been absolutely hilarious lately! It seems like everything that comes out of his mouth makes us laugh. Mostly because he is so serious about the things he says. For example:

Sunday, Robert was getting Spencer ready for church. Rob had already picked out some clothes for Spence to wear so he told Spencer to come put on his shirt. Spencer told Robert, "I don't want to wear that shirt." Robert said something like," Come on, Bud, just put your shirt on." But again Spencer replied, "I don't want to wear that shirt." He was very adamant about not wearing that shirt. Finally Robert told Spencer that he's just a little boy and that he doesn't have a choice in what he wears to which Spencer yelled back, "BUT I WANT CHOICES!!!" HA HA !

Robert got Guitar Hero for Christmas. Spencer likes to watch Robert play all the songs. When you pass off a song, the words "You Rock" pop up and then Robert and Spencer go back and forth telling each other how much the other one rocks. You Rock, No You Rock, No You Rock! It's pretty funny!

The nursery always comes into primary while the big kids are in class to have singing time. Today, Spencer was the oldest kid in nursery! It is so amazing how fast he's growing up. He'll be 3 in July!!! Anyhow, he does so great singing all the songs and doing the motions. Everyone loves to hear Spencer talk because he has such a sweet little voice.

We switched to 9am church at the being of the year. Yikes! It actually has been pretty great! Spencer is really well behaved that early in the morning. He knows that when it's time to take the sacrament that we sit reverently and think about Jesus! Incredible! He even tries to get Mady fold her arms!

Spencer is in love. In love with Madelyn! They are such good friends. It makes me so happy to see him be so loving and sweet to her. It's crazy but when we first had Madelyn and were still in the hospital, Spencer wanted nothing to do with her. He pretended like she didn't exist. He wouldn't even look at her. But now, he absolutely loves her. One of his favorite things to do is to climb into her crib in the morning and play. It's so sweet! She loves him, too. You can tell that she thinks she's just as big as Spencer so she gets pretty frustrated when he runs off to play and she can't follow. I'm trying to enjoy every loving moment because I know that it won't always be like this.

I'm sorry! I just realized that this post sounds really braggy, but I'm just one proud mom! We are SOOO blessed to have such a sweet little guy! He is an amazing boy and I can't wait to see what else he has in store for us!

Merry Christmas!

HO HO HO! Merry Christmas! This post is only kinda late...ok it's really late, but what's a gal to do?! Christmas at the Sullivan home was wonderful! We had such a fun day with our family! Robert and I had a blast putting out all the presents...I mean...helping Santa put out all the gifts for each other and the kiddos. : ) It was so fun to get everything set up just right.

Spencer was one spoiled boy this year. I now understand why parents go broke this time of year. It's so easy to go overboard! I felt like everywhere I went I saw something that would make me think something along the lines of, "Oh wow, Spencer would LOVE that!" or " He really needs that." It was CRAZY! I finally had to make a list of the things I knew he was getting so I could see that he had plenty. It was so much fun, though. He got all kinds of cool toys from his grandparents, too, like an awesome train table and rad lawn mower. What a lucky boy! Maddie had a great Christmas, too! She got all kinds of cute toys, books, shoes, and pjs!

I went a little crazy on Robert, too. I kinda bought him Guitar Hero. I couldn't help it! I just love buying things for other people! He was SO surprised! I loved it!!! I kinda ruined the surprise of my gift. I accidentally found out that he got me the coat that I wanted. I was SO excited to open it Christmas day! We opened gifts at our house Christmas morning, then went to Robert's parents house to open gifts and spend time with family. Later that evening, we had a delicious dinner at Katie and Ryan's house. All in all, it was a GREAT Christmas!

Thanksgiving

It's about time right?! Well, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We got to fly to Florida and spend time with my family. We got there a week before Thanksgiving and the kids and I got to stay for over a week after! Robert went on an internship trip to Phoenix or else he would have stayed, too!

The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, we decided to go to Sea World. It was SO much fun!

Our cousins, Kent and his wife Cindy, had us all over for Thanksgiving. They have a place down in the woods that reminded everyone of the old Nine Cabbages ranch. We had a blast! The weather was perfect and the kids loved being outside. There was TONS of food and lots of family. It was a great day! Here's a picture of the whole gang, back together again!

We had a BLAST! We can't wait to see our family again, soon! Hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving!

While we were in Florida, I thought we should take advantage of being so close to a Kiddie Kandids and get Spencer and Madelyn's pictures taken. It was a CRAZY morning! I couldn't have done it without the help of my wonderful mother. She's GREAT! It was a miracle that we got one good picture of the two of them together. Spencer wanted nothing to do with his sister. In one of the poses the photographer tried, both the kids were supposed to sit on a bench together. They were supposed to straddle it like a horse. Well, Spencer was behind Madelyn and he kept scooting more and more forward, trying to push Madelyn off. It was pretty stressful, but well worth it! We love their pictures! They're growing up SO fast!

Not too much to report here at the Sullivan's! We've all been passing around a nice cold which stinks. It started with me, then went to Spencer, then Madelyn got part of it, and now Robert is feeling sick. I actually took Sissy to the doctor today just to make sure she was alright. Of course, she was just fine. I felt pretty silly bringing her into the doctor, but it made me feel better to know she's healthy. Madelyn is weighing in at a whopping 12lbs 11.5oz! She's finally getting to the point where you don't think she'll snap in half when you pick her up! She is pretty cute, too! Here's a picture I took of her last night while Spencer was in the tub. Her hair is really red right now which I have to admit, I LOVE!!

And then there's Spencer...our funny, crazy, smart little boy. This picture made me laugh out loud. He's getting so big. He talks all the time. You never know what's going to come out of his mouth. It's a hoot! One of his new favorite sayings is "One more time!" He says it after just about everything. After you sing a song, tickle him, read a story...whatever! Spencer's a dancing fool these days, too! If any music comes on, he starts to groove to the beat. He is SO funny! I'll have to post more of his funny sayings.

Robert is doing great, other than the being sick. School is almost over which is awesome! I know he's ready for a break. After we get home from a warm Thanksgiving in Florida, he turns around and heads for Phoenix, AZ. He's going down with BYUI to interview with some companies and put his resume out there. He also just got an internship with a company called Epic Ventures. It's a venture capitalist firm that's helping grow the economy in southeast Idaho. He'll be working there starting in January while he's off track from school. We're really excited about the doors this could open for him!

And then there's me! Not too much going on with me. Piano lessons are still going really well. All my students are amazing musicians! Primary is good. This time of year means possibly finding new teachers and figuring out who's going to be in what class starting January. I realized the other day that we have 7 new sunbeams next year. Can you believe it?!?! And our Sunbeam teacher just moved, so if you're in our ward...beware! Just joking...sort of. I'm super excited for our trip to Florida next week! We'll stay through Thanksgiving then return on Friday. We are all in need of a vacation so this couldn't have come at a better time. We need to be reminded that the sun does shine on some parts of our beautiful country. So if you don't hear from us for a while it because we're enjoying all the fun and family that Florida has to offer! We love you and hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! We had a great time at our ward's Trunk-or-Treat. There were a ton of people from the neighborhood that came. It was great to see everyone's awesome costumes. This year, the Sullivans didn't match exactly...actually, we didn't match AT ALL! Spencer was a dragon/monster...(he kept changing his mind.)

Madelyn was a kitty cat...a darn cute one, at that!Melaleuca goes all out for Halloween. Every year they have a theme that each team participates in. This year's theme was Disneyland. The Rexburg management team was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea...or something under water. I'm not sure exactly. But Robert had to dress up like a sea captain...

And I always thought scrubs looked really comfortable, so I wanted to be a doctor for Halloween. Well, scrubs aren't as cheap as I thought and the actual doctor costume was cheaper. The costume also came with a surgical cap and mask and a stethoscope! Awesome! So that's why I was a doctor.

I have to take a moment to recognize my dear ol' Dad. He is one amazing man. He has worked hard for years, providing us with a wonderful childhood filled with great memories. I'll never forget all the nerve racking trips to the airport where we nearly lost our lives and our lunch running to make it to the ticket counter in time, only to find out we were at least two hours early for our flight. Or waking up in the morning to your wonderful songs about Cousins Middle School being our "favorite school." And who will ever forget you and mom always telling us to remember who we are on our way out the door on Friday nights. Thank you for all you've taught us. We love you and hope you have a fabulous birthday!

Last night, Robert, Will, and I went to the Weezer concert in Salt Lake City. IT WAS AMAZING!!! They opened with "My Name is Jonas" and "Say it Ain't So," two classic Weezer songs. When they started to play, the crowd went wild. It was insane. Did I mention where our seats were? We didn't have seats....because we were on the floor right by the stage!!! Sadly, we had a bunch of idiots beside us who insisted on moshing...but Will and Robert took care of them. As the concert went on, we heard more great Weezer songs: Pink Triangle, El Scorcho, Island in the Sun, Beverly Hills, The King, Pork and Beans, The Greatest Man that Ever Lived, Perfect Situation, The Sweater Song (accompanied by Tom-lead singer of Angels and Airwaves), Keep Fishin, and Buddy Holly, just to name a few. Originally, Andrew and Will were both going to come, but due to a last minute humanities assignment, poor AC wasn't able to go. We sure missed him. I know he would have had a BLAST! Will didn't even have a ticket when we got there. He was able to buy a general admission floor ticket off some guy in the parking lot. It was a miracle that he found one.

Angels and Airwaves opened for Weezer. They were pretty rad, too. Except, now I think I know why Blink 182 broke up. It was probably because Tom wanted to do some weird stuff in their show...like dance around with flashlights in his hands. It was still a pretty great show.

We had SO much fun! We didn't get home until almost 3 o'clock in the morning...but it was TOTALLY worth it! Here are some pictures before the concert:

Last Sunday we blessed Madelyn. It was such a great day! My mom and dad, Sarah, Emma, Will, and Andrew were all in town which made it extra special. It was SO great having them here on this wonderful day. We never got a picture of our whole family together, but we got some great pictures of our growing family. We're holding out for a family picture at Thanksgiving when Adam and Sadie Jo will be around. We are so lucky to have Robert's family who live so close by. They were all able to come, too, which meant the world to us! Here are some pics from the blessed day:

Spencer Speaks

I thought it might be time to give a brief update on our little boy, Spencer. He has changed so much in the last couple of weeks. It's crazy! I think that he feels the need to be a "big boy" ever since his sissy came into the world.

He talks nonstop! He is starting to repeat everything we say which may back fire one of these days... : / Let's hope not! And when he repeats what you say, he makes it into a question. Like if you tell him, "In a minute" he repeats, " in a minute?" It's pretty funny. I never knew he knew so many words! Some are still pretty unclear so that makes for a fun game of "What the heck is Spencer talking about?" Robert always wins that one! I don't know why, but I just can't understand him at all sometimes. Like today, he wanted to watch a movie so I told him to pick one out. He kept saying cebles? Rob and I thought he was saying cowboy which meant he wanted to watch Toy Story. Come to find out, he wanted to watch The Incredibles. Who knew?!

The other day, Robert took the day off work so he was here when Spencer woke up from his nap. We hear him playing in his room so Rob went to let him out. Robert walks in his room and finds Spencer sitting on his bed with his piggy bank. Spencer looks up at Robert and says, " I want more money, dad." It was the funniest thing! After Robert stopped laughing he told him that he wanted more money too! Spencer then followed Robert all over the house saying, "more money dad, more money!" Finally Robert told him he had to earn his money so he made him feed Jacque, our dog. When he was done, Spencer was rewarded with 11 cents! He was pumped!

I can't wait to see what Spencer comes up with next...

Madelyn was born at 2:51pm today. She was 6lbs 14oz and 21 inches long. She came out perfect and happy, just like the picture below. After a quick bath, Madelyn got her hair done and a new bow put in it. She stayed awake for two hours after she was born and only cried during the first part of her bath.

Mom and baby are doing fine! Rach did a great job and still looked great after a half hour of pushing.Spencer came to visit and is still getting used to having a sissy. We'll see how he is when she comes home to stay! Dad is very happy to have such good lookin' kids!
So, now we have two kids and our family is great. We are so happy to have Madelyn as part of our family.

I just can't get over how big Spencer has gotten! This is a picture of him at our little family birthday BBQ. I swear he grows a foot a day! Spencer is going to look huge next to Madelyn once she finally gets here.

Speaking of "So Big" that could totally describe me right now. I feel HUGE! I am SO ready for Madelyn to get here already!!! The baby bedding that my mom ordered for her arrived today as do Mom and AC. So really, after they get here, she is more than welcome to come on and be born. At least I know by Tuesday I will be in the hospital contracting with the best of them!

Pregnancy Update:

I'm dilated to almost a 2!! Yippee! You may be thinking to yourself, "A 2? That's it???" Compared to what I've been dilated to the last two weeks, a 2 is awesome! It totally made my day. Speaking of making my day, Dr. Leavitt put me on the induction list for next Tuesday!!! So the latest little Madelyn will arrive is next Tuesday. I am SO excited! It gives me so much hope. The end is definitely in sight. I haven't gained weight for a couple weeks now which is also awesome.

I had contractions all last week, mostly at night. Robert and I stayed up a couple of nights timing them. One night, after timing them for a couple of hours, we decided we were too tired to have a baby that night, so we decided to go to bed. And sure enough, they were gone by morning. I figure if they get bad enough to be real they would probably wake me up.

I've been having contractions all morning, so who knows...we may have this baby sooner than next week! If anything happens, I'll make sure we bring the lap top to the hospital so Robert can keep everyone updated. Wish us luck!!!

Week 37

I went to the Dr. again today. Nothing has changed. I'm only dilated about a finger tip which I guess equals about a cm. I'm 40% enfaced which is good. Things are moving along! I didn't gain weight and my blood pressure is great. My group B strep test came back negative which is awesome! I don't have to have penicillin pumped into my IV which BURNS like crazy!!! So I'm VERY grateful for that! I asked the PA if there was anything I could do to get this moving along, but she told me if they knew that they would be very rich. She just suggested I take walks but to stay hydrated. All in all, kind of a boring post. Sorry everyone! I have to keep busy, so if anybody wants to get together, PLEASE call me!!! : ) Love you all!

Saturday afternoon, I went out shopping and found this awesome suit at Penny's. So Sunday Spencer looked like a little missionary! He was SUPER cute! We just had to take some pictures, but that little stinker wouldn't look at the camera. Poor Robert tried so hard to get him to smile for a picture, but he just wouldn't smile and look at the camera at the same time!

Happy Belated 4th of July!

Yeah for the 4th of July!!! We had such an awesome time!!! My mom, dad, and brother, Andrew, all came out to help us celebrate. The actual 4th was awesome. Mom, dad, Spencer, and I all went to the parade that morning while Robert and AC started setting up on the river. We like to start saving our place early so we have the best view. After the parade we got some lunch and stopped by to check on Rob and AC. We came by later to pick them up to go to our niece, Taylor's birthday party. After the party, we picked up Mom and Dad and headed to the river. They had a grill set up by our spot so we ate yummy hamburgers and settled down to watch the fire works. They were amazing! Melaleuca always does a GREAT job!

Saturday, we all decided to take a drive up to Mesa Falls. It was beautiful. After we walked by the falls, we decided to drive on to West Yellowstone. We ate a late lunch and walked around some shops before we decided to head for home.

Sunday was Sunday. Mom and Dad helped us in Primary by teaching the Sunbeams. Boy am I one lucky girl to have such willing parents. They are the best!!!!

Monday, we went to Jackson Hole. Mom and I shopped around while Dad, AC, and Spencer played in the square. They even rode on the stage coach! How awesome! We were all pretty tired after a long day in Wyoming so we ate some supper at Texas Roadhouse and went to bed. It was so much fun having my family in town! It makes me wish that we all lived closer to each other. Maybe someday my parents will build that cottage in Rigby that they've always wanted! I can only hope! I'll post some pictures of all our fun later!

Week 36

That's right! We have finally reached the 36 week mark! That means that if the baby were to be born right now, she would be considered full-term. Personally, I live for this point in the pregnancy. That and the actual delivery. I go to the Doc again on Monday where he'll do the Group B Strep test, yuck, and check to see how far things have progressed, if at all. I had Spencer at 39 weeks so hopefully Madelyn will come a tad early as well. I'm sort of torn though, I really want to see her cute face, but I also want her to get nice and fat in my belly so she's even cuter! Do you know what I mean??? Also, it's a heck of a lot easier taking care of her while she's relaxing in my belly. She doesn't cry or whine. She just wiggles around to let me know she's alright. I can totally handle that! Plus, this pregnancy hasn't been awful. I DO have a two year old to keep me busy this go round which has made the time absolutely fly by! Hopefully the next couple weeks will zoom past us too.

Robert and I were talking and we decided that I can't have the baby next week. It's Robert's last week of class this semester which means finals and papers are due. So if I had the baby, poor Rob would still have to commute to Rexburg everyday. Then Friday, Robert's going rafting with his boss so I can't have her then. Saturday is the Melaleuca picnic so I definitely can't miss that...Sunday is our friend's farewell so I better be at that. Spencer's 2nd birthday is on the 23rd and he would never forgive me if I had the baby then. Our friend Julia is having a baby shower on the 26th and I really want to go to that so....I'm aiming for the 2nd of August or maybe even the 8th so her birthday can be 8/8/08! Hopefully with all this stuff going on the weeks will FLY right by! Wish me luck!!!

After Robert's mission reunion, we decided to go to BYU and pick up some new shirts for this season. Spencer also got a cool BYU basketball!
Here's Spencer in his new BYU shirt after we ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel, yum! He ate some orange slices which made his chin break out into a little rash. YIKES! Luckily it went away later.
We decided to go to Antelope Island after breakfast and to check out the Great Salt Lake. We tried to walk out to the lake but decided it was too far. Don't think we wussed out, it was over 90 degrees and we would have had to carry Spencer the whole way! Look how tiny those people are in the picture, and I zoomed in a BUNCH!

We just can't wait to put our BYU shirts to good use in a couple months!!! Go Cougs!

Blogging in Utah!

That's right folks! We're out of town! Robert had a mission reunion down in Provo this weekend, so we thought we'd make the trip. Robert was one of the last guys called to Peru that actually got a visa so he didn't know many of the guys there. He had a lot of Peruvian comps and they don't make it to the reunions often. But right before we left a Peruvian missionary walked in was excited to see Elder Sullivan. He told the girl he brought that Elder Sullivan is like a legend in Ica. I think that made Robert's day! They had a lot of success in Ica while Robert served there as a zone leader. It was pretty cool!

After we left his mission president's house, we decided to go over to the BYU bookstore and pick up a couple things. We all got new shirts for this football season, even our new baby girl! It's SUPER cute! I was so close to buying her bows to go with it, but I was pretty dang bald as a baby so there's a good chance our little girl will be bald. Beth, my mother-in-law, told me that all the Sullivan babies she knows have had hair so we're keeping our fingers crossed!

Once we left BYU, we headed north to Jesse and Larin's house in Layton. We went to Cafe Rio for dinner, per my request. : ) It's amazing the pull you have as a pregnant lady! It was delicious! I wish they had them in IF. Dare to dream... So that was our awesome Saturday. We'll be heading back to IF sometime on Sunday. Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!

What a great weekend! Saturday was one of the greatest days! Robert got me a gift card for my birthday to this day spa in town called The Essence of You. So Saturday I went and had my first massage ever and boy was is awesome! It was called a Mother-to-Be massage. They had this rad, yes I said rad, pillow thing for your belly to go in so a pregnant lady can lie on her stomach. It was so relaxing. They had the calming music going and pretty smells all over the place. I left a tiny bit oily, but completely relaxed. Then I went down stairs and got a pedicure! I was pampered all day!

When I got home from my morning at the spa, Spencer was already taking a nap and Robert gave me some awesome news...we only had sacrament meeting the next day at church! Our building is getting remodeled and they didn't get to replacing all the carpet in time. So we didn't have Primary! Don't get me wrong, I love Primary and the primary kids, but being the Primary President is kind of a stressful job. Especially when you're eight months pregnant. What makes Sundays run smoother are my wonderful counselors. They are incredible ladies and I love them dearly. They do SO much to make my life easier...I don't know what I would do without them. But it was still pretty awesome that we only had one hour of church on Sunday. Especially since the AC in the building wasn't working at all! But anyway...for dinner that night, we grilled up some t-bones we had and then, for dessert, we went and got Reed's Dairy ice cream. If you live in the Idaho Falls or surrounding areas and have never had Reed's Dairy anything...you are missing out! They have the best ice cream and tastiest chocolate milk of all time! They put potato flakes in the chocolate milk which makes it thick and delicious!!! Take my word for it or go get some today!

Good News

We had another doctor's appointment today. Good news: I don't need a c-section! The placenta has moved out of the way just like the doctor said it would. I kinda figured it would, but I told him I was concerned so we could sneak another peek at our little girl. : ) It worked! No pictures this go round, but it was awesome to see how big she's getting. Speaking of growing, our LITTLE girl is almost 5 lbs already! The doctor took measurements during the ultrasound and she was something like 4.6 lbs. CRAZY! It didn't really hit me as to how big that is until I realized that lots of people have 6 lb babies....FULL TERM! I'm only 32 weeks for Pete's sake! I shouldn't really complain. I would much rather have a big healthy baby than an itty bitty one. Plus, I'm afraid she takes after her momma...I was 9lbs 6 oz....I think. But all is well here at the Sullivan's. We're gearing up for the newest member of our family to arrive. Anyone thought of any names for our baby yet?? We could REALLY use the help!

Happy Father's Day!!! I just have to take a minute and say how lucky I am to have such a wonderful husband. Robert is SO great with Spencer. Spencer loves to follow his dad around whenever he can. He does everything just like his daddy. I am so glad that I have a husband who loves kids, especially his own. I can't wait for our little girl to meet her daddy!!! I am blessed to have a husband who holds and honors the priesthood. He is such a great example to my of hard work. He does so much but always finds the time to get things done around the house. I love that we can be together forever!

I also have to say how lucky Robert and I are for the wonderful fathers we have. Robert's dad, Gerry, and my dad, Joe, are amazing! They are both wonderful examples to us and to Spencer. Spencer is one lucky little boy to have such loving grandpas. And boy does he love them, too! I am so grateful for all they teach us. I know that they both would do anything for us and would drop whatever they were doing to help us. They are great men and we love them SO much! We are truly blessed!
